Running Technique+Plantar Plate Analysis
Movement assessment is key to unlocking your potential. I use a tried and tested assessment method built on the best of science, experience and intuition.
During the assessment you'll be filmed at 2 speeds on the treadmill and recorded statically and dynamically on the foot pressure plate.
This allows me to measure the forces going through your feet when standing, walking and running over the pressure plate. The information gathered from the treadmill and pressure plate will identify and demonstrate the areas where your movement can be developed to reduce injury and improve efficiency.

It was back when I ran for Haringey AC in the 1980s that I started my development as a coach. As an average club runner, I was surrounded by incredible athletes from club, county & national level right up to Olympic champions and world record holders. I trained hard and took my athletics seriously but was not able to perform in a way that other athletes were able to do and it seemed to come easy to them.
This lead me to try and understand why some people are able to perform at a higher level than others and to become fascinated about how to get the best out of anyone regardless of their talent base.
This was a proving ground for my development as a coach. I later worked for two of the biggest running retailers in the United Kingdom working with customers to help them to research and chose appropriate footwear for their circumstances. I was trained in basic gait analysis and performed this with many runners over the years. Although this gives some information I came to realise that this was incomplete as an assessment tool. I had many questions but few answers.
A serendipitous moment gave me to the chance to attend a workshop with the running biomechanist Lee Saxby in 2010. This proved to be formative for me as this mechanistic approach started to address many of my questions and offering solutions forward in a clear concise way.
Having moved to work with Vivobarefoot in 2012, I worked closely with Lee delivering ground breaking running and movement education around the world. Our mission was to help people understand their bodies and the power of natural movement. We worked with many trainers, physios and health professionals as well as directly with athletes often achieving stunning results in terms of performance and injury reduction. I am always thankful for the opportunity to work with visionary thinkers such as Galahad Clark and Lee that were attempting to answer and put solutions forward to help people move better.
